Second Term English Test / Third Year (Scientific)
Third Year (Scientific)
Duration :1 hour :………………………………………
Read the text and do the following tasks :
People today eat more than they used to and more than they need to .This means that they are constantly taking in more calories than their bodies can burn .Unfortunately, lots of us don’t realize that we are eating too much because we have become so used to seeing and eating large portions.
The price of such overabundance is high.It ‘s common knowledge that people who constantly overeat are likely to become everweight .But they also risk getting a number of medical problems , including high blood pressure , high colesterol , type 2 diabetes, breathing and sleeping problems…..etc. Later in life , people who overeat are at greater risk for heart diseases.
So what can you do to take back control ? A good place to start is knowing about two things that can help you eat smart : serving sizes and recommended amounts of different foods .The best way to eat healthy is to eat a wide variety of enough food to meet the body’s needs . Aim to eat more food that contains fibres and more fruits and vegetables. You should cut back on meats high in fat greasy fried foods, and sweets and drink more water instead of sugary drinks like sodas .In short, you need to improve your eating habits and practise sport exercises.
